To sweet to survive is a visceral exploration of desire, excess, and quiet self-destruction. A glossy pink cake—seductive, celebratory—becomes the stage for a single high heel, both elegant and intrusive. What should symbolize pleasure turns unsettling: sweetness begins to bleed, beauty collapses into something raw and almost violent.
This piece speaks about a life fully lived—consumed without restraint—where indulgence and identity blur into one another. There is no regret, only the stillness that follows intensity. A calm after the overflow. A silence that feels both empty and strangely peaceful.
Through thick textures and expressive strokes, the work invites the viewer to question: when does pleasure stop nourishing and start consuming us?
